Salvation: The Doorway to Your Royal Inheritance

When we think of salvation, we often focus on the moment of our initial decision to follow Christ. We celebrate the forgiveness of sins, the assurance of eternal life, and the joy of being reconciled to God. And rightly so! Salvation is an incredible gift, purchased for us by the precious blood of Jesus.

But here's the beautiful truth: salvation is just the beginning. It's the doorway into a life of unimaginable blessing, authority, and purpose in Christ. It's the start of a journey into the fullness of our royal inheritance as children of the King.

Your Royal Identity

The moment you placed your faith in Jesus, you were adopted into God's royal family. You became a child of the King, with all the rights and privileges that come with that position. As Paul writes in Galatians 4:7:

"So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir."

This means that you are not just saved from sin, but you are saved into a new identity. You are a co-heir with Christ, destined to reign with Him forever (Romans 8:17). You are royalty, called to reflect the character and authority of your Heavenly Father.

Your Heavenly Authority

As a child of God, you have been given authority in Christ to impact the world around you. Jesus said to His disciples in Luke 10:19:

"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you."

This authority is not just for a select few, but for every believer. Through Christ, you have the power to resist temptation, to break chains of bondage, to heal the sick, and to advance the Kingdom of God. You are not a victim of your circumstances, but a victor through Him who loves you.

Bringing Heaven to Earth

But the authority we have in Christ is not just for our own benefit. It's for the sake of bringing heaven to earth. As Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).

As royal heirs, we have the privilege and responsibility of partnering with God to see His will done in our lives, our families, our communities, and our world. We are called to be conduits of His love, His truth, and His transforming power.

This means:

  • Praying with boldness and authority, knowing that our prayers have power

  • Speaking life and truth over our situations, declaring God's promises

  • Ministering to others with the love and compassion of Christ

  • Being agents of reconciliation and restoration in a broken world

Stepping into Your Inheritance

If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you are already royalty. You already have authority in Christ. But like any inheritance, it must be stepped into and activated by faith.

This week, I encourage you to:

  1. Meditate on your royal identity in Christ. Read passages like Galatians 4:7, Romans 8:17, and 1 Peter 2:9. Let the truth of who you are sink deep into your soul.

  2. Begin to exercise your authority in prayer. Pray bold, faith-filled prayers over your life, your loved ones, and your spheres of influence. Declare God's will and watch Him move.

  3. Look for opportunities to bring heaven to earth. Ask God to show you where He wants to release His love and power through you. Step out in faith and watch Him work.

Remember, beloved:

  • You are a royal heir, with all the rights and privileges of a child of the King.

  • You have authority in Christ to impact the world around you.

  • You are called to partner with God in bringing heaven to earth.

May you step boldly into the fullness of your inheritance this week, experiencing all that God has for you in Christ!

Reigning with you,
Jennifer
